Like the Gariz case above, it is made of genuine leather. There is an official soft case for the Ricoh GR III sold by Ricoh. This case does have an aluminum base and this will add height to the body of the camera which is great for those with big hands. They make some nice gear and their cases do a great job of adding additional grip and protection. I’ve used several Gariz cases over the years on different cameras. There are a few nice carrying cases for the GRIII, but also you can get body cases that will help protect the body and add grip while you are shooting.įor my street cameras, I almost always use some sort of leather half case. Ricoh GV-1 External ViewfinderĪnother accessory for the GR III with 28mm or 21mm frame lines.

If you just need a more compact viewfinder for the 28mm lens, the GV-2 is a great option, more compact but is also more expensive. If you use the wide-angle adapter, the GV-1 features 21mm frame lines, it’s also less expensive. There are a few different viewfinders for the GRIII. These UV filters are nice because they help stop dust from getting inside the components since the Ricoh does have a few issues with dust sneaking into the camera and getting on the sensor. It uses sticky tape to mount to the front of the lens. If you like using UV filters on this camera you can get a nice one by JJC. I’ve listed both.įor the GR IIIx, there will be a GT-2 Teleconversion lens that gives a 75mm equivalent field of view. Behind it are some CPU contacts that will allow the camera to communicate with this lens, but you do need to get the adapter. On the front housing around the lens, there is a ring that removes. The wide-angle converter gives you a 21mm equivalent focal length. Hold off buying any of these lens accessories for a GR III x. The Ricoh GR IIIx will have different accessories here most likely. They diminish some of the cool looks you can get from lens flares from having a curved front element. I personally try not to use UV filters if I don’t have to. Some people like only using official batteries, some people are ok with third-party batteries. They have a few options from Anti-Glare to Crystal Clear to Glass. Here are my favorite brand of screen protectors. Using a screen protector is the best way to preserve the life and value of your camera. These cameras don’t have the crazy high endurance glass screens as modern DSLRs, they will scratch, they will delaminate, they will break.
